Booking Conditions

  • All prices are in American Funds.

  • 30% deposit required to confirm booking (50% for Trapline Adventure)

  • No booking valid until confirmed with deposit receipt.

  • Deposit not refundable.

  • Balance of payment due upon arrival.

  • Grease Creek Outfitters Ltd. reserves the right to alter, amend or cancel any trip should circumstances beyond their control necessitate.

We attend the ‘Pacific Northwest Sportsmen's Show - Portland Expo Center’ in February annually should you wish to some visit.

Suggested Packing List

Our hunts are conducted as day trips from camp, so there’s no need for extreme backcountry gear. Focus on warm layers, quality footwear, and reliable equipment suited for Alberta conditions.

  • Rifle (sighted-in) with ~40 rounds of ammunition 

  • Soft/hard case, sling, and scope cover 

  • Small daypack (KUIU, Stone Glacier, Osprey, etc.) 

  • Backpack rain cover 

  • Binoculars (waterproof, 7x–10x recommended) 

  • Rangefinder (optional) 

  • 1 compact hunting knife 

  • Headlamp or flashlight (LED) with extra batteries 

  • 1L hard water bottle (Nalgene or similar) 

  • Matches or butane lighter (packed in checked luggage) 

  • Small tarp or space blanket (optional) 

  • Camera or phone (with charger/power bank)

Weather Note

Conditions in the foothills can change quickly. Whether hunting in October or November, layering and quality outerwear are the best way to stay comfortable in Alberta’s variable climate.

October Archery Hunt Notes

Archery season in October typically brings milder and more variable weather compared to November. Daytime temperatures can range from approximately 0°C to 15°C (32°F to 60°F), with cooler mornings and evenings.

  • ​Crisp mornings with potential frost 

  • Warmer afternoons, especially on sunny days 

  • Occasional rain and changing conditions 

  • Little to no snow early, but always possible later in the month

What to expect:

Packing tips for archery hunts:

  • Bring lighter layering options—you won’t need as much bulk as November 

  • Quiet, breathable clothing is recommended for close-range encounters 

  • Waterproof outer layers are still important 

  • Lighter gloves and headwear are usually sufficient 

  • Be prepared for temperature swings throughout the day
